Spirituality in the Supermarket
The supermarket has become a spiritual place for me lately. Actually, I consider every encounter or experience to be spiritual in nature. Money has been very tight for me for the last several months and we've had to rely heavily on my husband's income. My income has been very sporadic lately so my husband has had to foot the bill for almost everything including the groceries. I've been working very hard lately to get more work and I've been spiritually aligning myself with positive vibrations to open the pathway for more abundance in my life. It's working. I now have more money coming in and I recently went to the supermarket for the first time in months. I'm talking about me footing the bill here. The significance of this didn't really hit me until I went home and my husband asked me how it felt to be able to go to the grocery store and buy something. At that moment, I could feel my gratitude at having the money to be able to shop for food. Getting groceries is a task that can easily become routine and can be taken for granted. But if you aren't able to do this for a while, you realize that it is truly a blessing. Take time out of each day and reflect on the blessings that you already have in your life and you will attract more.

Release and Allow
I've read so many times about how clutter can weigh us down and block abundance from flowing into our lives. I've experienced this so many times. Yet I am always in awe of this spiritual principle every time I release the "dead weight" from my life. I've spent the last few days throwing away old papers and other things that are basically just taking up space. Every time I do this, extra money comes my way and it's usually from an unexpected source. I just love the creativity of the universe! As I was shredding papers and throwing things away, I knew that I was clearing the way for abundance. A day later, my husband and I received a nice sized (unexpected) check in the mail from our bank, with a letter explaining that we had a surplus in our escrow account. This has never happened before. Of course, learning to release and allow is not only about money. The best part the way it makes you feel because you are actually freeing yourself to allow the spiritual flow of love, joy and yes even money to come into your life. Nothing is forced. Instead you are making room in your life to have more and to be more. Get rid of your physical and emotional clutter and you'll be amazed at what good things come your way.

Why The Law of Attraction Seems to Only Work for Some People
At one time or another, we've all looked at super successful people and wondered why their lives seem to just fall into place so smoothly. It seems as though that they know something that everyone else doesn’t. Then the movie "The Secret" was released. At last, a formula which offered an explanation. It was based on The Law of Attraction. It works like this: think about the people, situations, and circumstances that you want in your life and you will attract them. Don't focus on what you don't want. Sounds simple, right? Yet, still after "The Secret" became widely popular, many people were still left scratching their heads wondering why nothing changed in their lives. It's not that The Law of Attraction doesn't work. It's just that thinking about something is not enough to draw it to you. You have to BELIEVE in what you are thinking, and feel as though it has already happened. That's where the real power resides. The feeling behind your thoughts is what the universe responds to. Remember, change comes from the inside out. Go to that place within yourself and experience the life you desire. Then take action. You'll be amazed at what comes your way

Go Where Your Spirit Flows
Most of have heard of the saying "go with the flow." Yet few of us practice this in our daily lives. We spend most of our lives chasing our dreams and trying to force things to happen that just weren't meant to be. This leads to suffering. If we would just take a few minutes each day to quiet our minds through meditation, then we would be more aware of where our spirit is guiding us. We all possess within us the true knowledge of how to allow our life to flow instead of getting caught up in "doing."
One way to do this is to just look at animals and small children. They intuitively see life as a joyful expression of just being. This is an awareness that we are all born with it. Unfortunately, we gradually lose sight of this as we get older and we make life more complicated by shifting our attention to the expectations of society and then we burden ourselves by equating our worth things like the amount of money we make, the size of our home, the kind of car we drive and so on. None of this matters spiritually speaking. Yet we stress and strain ourselves to achieve to proves to ourselves and others that we matter.
Again we can return to our natural state of being by observing animals and small children, especially babies. Their minds are pure. Their happiness doesn’t depend on any event or circumstance. They are joyful for just being. I have a beautiful four month daughter. Sometimes she will wake up around two in the morning kicking and gurgling with such joy. It absolutely amazes me. There she is in the crib in the dark enjoying herself with a sense of inner happiness that is not dependent on anything or anyone. We all have a place of peace and joy within our inner core. The problem is we are not always aware of it because of all the constant noise and chatter of our daily lives. That’s why it’s so important to observe nature and small children and meditate.
